Destructive Testing

DESTRUCTIVE TESTING

project
  • As the name suggests, destructive testing (DT) includes methods where your material is broken down in order to determine mechanical properties, such as strength, toughness and hardness. Destructive testing is generally most suitable and economic for mass produced objects, as the cost of destroying a small number of pieces is negligible. The samples are put under different loads and stress. That way we can analyze in which point your material eventually gives up and cracks. The results gained are then compared to the requirements. Over the years a number of tests have been standardized for checking of material properties. Some of these provide data that are useful for design calculation, while others have the primary purpose of aiding in material choices by supplying comparative information.
  • We provide services for Mechanical Testing, Chemical Analysis and Metallurgical Testing. We have installed Advance, Digital, computerized and computer controlled instruments for mechanical testing, Optical Emission Spectrometer and PMI Machine for chemical analysis, Olympus Optical Metallurgical Microscope and PID Controlled equipment for corrosion Tests.
